Start by finding a comfortable position. Lay your hands palms up on your legs and plant your feet into the floor. Sit up straight and lean into the back of your chair. Notice your breath. Focus on drawing in a breath for five beats through your nose. Now blow out for five beats through your mouth.

Steady your breath.

Breathe in and out.

In and out.

Again. Slowly. Center it.

Hold your most favorite color in mind. Sit with the color that makes you smile the deepest and truest smile. Wrap yourself in this shade, pull it around your shoulders like the most beautiful shimmery scarf you own. Soak in this color and feel your breath.

In and out. Slowly. Find the center of your breath. Land in it.

Soak in this color and feel your breath. Find your breath in this hue. Breathe in the color that makes you smile. Breathe it out. Breathe in your soul’s color, and breathe it out. Press it to your chest with your hands.

Slowly and with care.

Sit bathed in this color and let it center you in yourself. It is the color of the light in your heartspace. Let this color wash its medicine over you like the water that pours over a rock in a small stream. Wrap up the words that remind you of this color and place a bow on top of this present. It is a gift to you to open when you feel the need to reconnect with the color of your soul.

Now wrap yourself in the pinks of gratitude, the deep purple-y blue of self-acceptance, the profoundest red of self-love, take with you the orange of boldness as you walk out into the world.
